Hi,
I have two RAID group that each group size is 700 GB.
What LUN size is recommended for SSD on ESXi 5.1 and later?
Thank you
5.1 onwards Virtual Flash caching is achieved using flash memory in the form of solid state disks (SSDs).
The size of the Virtual Flash Cache is equal to the amount of configured Virtual Flash Read Cache at the VMDK level.

Thank you, but I want to use them for View Composer.
I think the consensus is RAID10, but some people choose RAID5 for added storage and being it all SSD, IOPs is mostly a non-issue, unless you really need very high IOPs... But as most of the time, your mileage may vary ...
Just for reference: http://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/view_storage_considerations.pdf
My RAID groups are RAID 5 (4+1).
VMware recommended LUN size between 300 to 700 GB for disk array but I need know recommendation about SSD drives o this regard.
Ah yes, LUN sizing, sorry, should drink more coffee first ...
Doesn't the size depend on the amount of linked clones, there's an example of how to calculate this in the document I referenced to in my previous post. Don't know of any other recommendations really ...
I've read the document before but I couldn't find any recommendation, just replica per pool or VM per LUN.
Thanks for share and help.
