Backing up several ESXi 4 servers?

Hi all,

We've recently moved our servers to four esxi 4 machines. Now I'm almost finished installing and configuring the guests and would like to know if there's an easy way to backup all the guests without me doing it all manually.

I have a spare server with 4TB of disc space that i was thinking about using as a backup server for the guests, but I'm not sure what the easiest way would be.

Hi,

You can use VCB or VMware data recovery , both can be automated and schedule backup tasks.

Thanks,

Samir

You can set up VCB or VMware Data Recovery to backup VMs - it's included to vSphere license.

But as for me the best tool is Veeam Backup - it is not free, but has most features.

Hi Tim,

You could also use GhettoVCB or GhettoVCBg2 (a free tool):

But as suggested vDR and Veeam are also an option.
