BUG: vCSA 5.5U3: Stats insertion failed for entity <hostname> due to ODBC error

After upgrading vCSA to 5.5U3, performance stats work for a few minutes and then stop for most guests.  The following error is logged for the affected host:

Stats insertion failed for entity <hostname> due to ODBC error.

This also happens with a clean vCSA setup and clean ESXi 5.5U3a system with 100+ guests added.  I can't reproduce this with an ESXi 5.5U3a host with only a few guests.

Rolling back vCSA to 5.5U2e resolves the problem.

Does anyone know how to fix this in vCSA 5.5U3?

Same problem on vCSA 5.5U3, opened a call ... they acknowledge the bug it should be fix in vCSA 5.5U3a which is imminent.

I'm facing the same issued, now the problem is fixed by upgrade to VMware vCenter Server 5.5 Update 3a Appliance
