Hi All
Having performed a patching project to upgrade our hosts from 5.0.0 to 5.0.0 U3, I now have many VMs which require there Vmware tools to be upgraded.
Rather than performing this manually for each VM by right clicking edit settings I have looked into performing this via Powershell/Power CLI to do it on mass but having a read on the internet I am slightly concerned as I understand the timing of the installation and reboot has changed in vSphere 5.
I looked at the below article and there is a powershell script which should allow me to do this on bulk but its based on vSphere4

Has anyone run this script or does anyone know of a better use script I can use for vSphere5 as I want to roll this out but dont want users to have the issue where they are being prompted to reboot the server as we do have many users who access our VMs via Windows RDP.
Many Thanks

Instead of using PowerCLI, look into using VMware Update Manager (VUM).
