Another vsphere running in vsphere problem

Ive built my self a vsphere virtual environment which sits on top of Vsphere. I remember back in the VI3 days when I built my test lab systems with VC 2.5 and 3.5 Hosts I needed to set the das.isolationaddress to the address to the VC server which just simply returned an ICMP request.

Now Im building the same kind of thing with vSphere4 and im haing a problem getting HA to configure, it doesnt error, just sits there stuck at 83 % and goes no where.

Ive set the same das.isolationaddress setting in HA advanced options but its not working, My environment is a toally isoalated setup with no access to a real default gateway. I have 2 x ESX4i hosts with just a management network setup with also the vmotion option enabled.

Anyone have this setup in a virtual environment, or have idea ?

Thanks

Do you have some gateway configurations?

If yes, set to the VC (or the pingable IP).

No Gateways, its totally isolated which is identical to how I had my VI3 system. Setting the das.isolationaddress to the IP of the VC server doesnt seem to be working.

Thanks

I've got a similar problem with to ESXi... the solution was add a "fake" (but pingable) default gateway.

Try to use the IP of VC.
