After upgrading from ESXi 6.7 to 7.01d the Web Console must be started manually

After upgrading from 6.7 to 7.01d the Web Console must be started manually.

To start the web console it I access the with ssh and run: /etc/init.d/hostd start 

If I don't do this I get the following error when trying to access the web console: 503 Service Unavailable (Failed to connect to endpoint: [N7Vmacore4Http16LocalServiceSpecE:0x000000853c948990] _serverNamespace = / action = Allow _port = 8309)

Any suggestions to how I fix this so that the Web Console starts by itself after reboot again?

Hello.
I personally recommend to use 6.5 or 6.7 for a while more, until version 7.X is more stable.
The error you indicate was common in version 6.X, I did not find something reported for version 7.0. Attached link
