After updating the NIC driver on ESX host and rebooting the host most of the VMs show inaccessible in vCenter. Have verified the connectivity to the datastore and the issue doesn't seem to be there.

Are you able to ping the ESXi host form your vCenetr server? Is the host showing up as inaccessable?

First step should be rollback the driver & check .
