After Firmware Upgrade, , VMware ESXI 6.7 failed to detect datastore.

Hi, I want to ask. After we upgrade the IBM System X3850 X5, our vmware esxi 6.7 did not recognize the datastore.

Please kindly help me. It's urgent.

IBM System X3850 X5 is not supported by ESXi 6.7. The latest supported versions of ESXi is 6.0 U3.

You should downgrade to the firmware that was recently working.

MartinGustafsson Could you provide me step by step to downgrade the firmware ?

I don't know the version of the firmware before i'm doing firmware update and is it possible to revert back the firmware upgrade ?

Sorry. You will have to check with IBM on how to downgrade the firmware.

It appears that ESXi is seeing your disk/RAID volume, but isn't mounting it.  You could try clicking on New datastore and see if it allows you to mount the existing disk/volume.  Do NOT format the disk/volume.  It may also ask you if you want to write a new signature to the datastore, which shouldn't be necessary.

I've seen this happen on other RAID controller driver/firmware updates and remounting the datastore manually usually resolves the issue.

We are already working on it - right now we extract the most important VM to an NFS datastore using a sh-script with 62000 lines
