Adding to an Existing VM using ESXi

Hello All,

I have an set up a VM that uses all of a 500GB hard drive (datastore1) and I want to increase the storage and give it a 1.5tb (datastore2). How do I go about this? Bit of a newbie as you may of guessed, but trying.

If you attach a second datastore to ESXi then you need to edit your VM to add another HDD with required space.

If you want to increase the existing hdd presented to your VM, then you need to increase the size of datastore1and then only you may have option to expand your existing hdd of VM.
