Add storage function crash during wizzard in vSphere Client 4.1

Hi

I have separatelly instaled ESX 4.1 on HP DL380 G6 with 2 logical drives on SmartArray P410i, first storage was created during installation process.

And when I try add storage (second storage) in vSphere Client wizzard crash with host error configuration, please what I´m doing wrong ?

i saw another post out there that someone had a similar issue because they had some other partitions on the drive. They manually deleted those partitions with FDISK and then was able to format the volume normally using the wizard so could be potential cause of this? Deleting and recreating the second virtual disk should also delete all the partiions.

Is the second logical drive done initializing? Could you go into the Array utility and do a fast initalize?

Have you tried deleting the second local volume and readding it? assuming there is nothing on it?

If deleting and re-creating the logical drive does not fix, it would be interesting to check the logs the /var/log/vmkernel, lets us know what you get in the logs.
