Add mv template directly from the ESXI host

Hi sirs,

I have a question:

Is it possible to add a template from the ESXI host without using VCENTER?

I browse to the datastore and I select add to invetory but I get an error.

Any way to achive it without using VCENTER ?

Templates are a vcenter only feature. You can try renaming the vmxt vm file to vmx, this would allow you to add the file as a VM, not template.

But anyway, you will not be able to use deploy from template or all the options you have for it on vcenter.
