Add custom drivers to standard ESXi 6.5d ISO

Hi all

I have googled the entire afternoon but I was unabled to find a workable solution (up to date at lease) to add the Adaptec 6805T drivers to my ESXI installation ISO since it is not seen by the installation. The adaptec support site refers to the ESXi-Customizer which is unsupported since 2015 and doesn't work with win10 regardless.

As per today, what is the suggested procedure to add the controller drivers to an ESXi 6.5d ISO image?

In general I'm really surprised VMware supportes Aadaptec 5xxx out of the box but not the 6xxx series. Do you happen to know if there's any valid reason for this?

Many thanks!

You can use the vSphere ESXi Image Builder to create an ESXi ISO with custom drivers added. See for more information about vSphere ESXi Image Builder:

Thanks that did it nicely.

I'm still concerned about future patches overwriting the custom drivers though...
