Accessing the VAMI returns error "Update installation in progress" - but did not do any updates...?

trying to access https://FQDN:5480 returns "Upgrade - Stage 2: Data transfer and vCenter Server setup is in progress"

Version 7.0.3 #19480866

https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/67179?lang=en_US did not help

Can you access your vCenter normally? Can you ssh to your vCenter and check services?

Well, looks like someone start upgrade.

I am not too sure if you can stop it, or reboot VCSA from SSH.

Maybe open support ticket.

So you stopped installation, however, the question remains open why it was in that state.
