ASUS PIKE 2008 8-port SAS2 6G RAID card

I know its not listed in the HCL, but I am wondering if anyone has tried to use this as a H/W Raid controller for ESXi 4.1?

This is simply a test/home environment and doesn't need the greatest performance. I was looking at this card or the ASUS PIKE 1068E 8-port SAS RAID card.

Any help would be appreciated so I can install ESXi and not run Hyper-V as my OS on the server.

It is more than likely that ASUS OEMs the controller. Check (Google etc) to see if you can determine the actual manufacturer and model number of the card and check the HCL for that. If it isn't then you may be out of luck.
