AMD & ESXI 7 or 8 - Hardware compatability list

1. Hi..I'm having trouble understanding and designing a config* for ESXi 7 or 8, using an AMD processor

Seeking AMD because of a bad XEON hardware experience...but don't know much about AMD...

Hi,

I have never had any issues using Xeon with my HP 360-G7 and now G9.

For AMD, you can use the VMware HCL (example) to check the CPU that is supported.

thanks for the HCL example...shows their EPYC series are the server CPUs...will investigate the older 7001 series as an option
