A crash with "false hang detected on RX queue 0" messages on ESXi 7.0 U3

Hi,

This morning I found my ESXi instance had crashed. I found my vmkernel.log is flooded with messages like this for all 4 NICs:

2022-03-19T10:25:48.495Z cpu2:131440)igbn: igbn_CheckRxHang:1415: vmnic0: false hang detected on RX queue 0

I suspect the crash might be related to this, but I cannot find any information in the logs just prior to the crash. Every 5 minutes I get a log like this:

StorageDevice: 7059: End path evaluation for device t10.ATA_____Hoodisk_SSD_____________________________JCTMC9A21262847_____

Some version/driver info that might be relevant:

esxcli network nic list:

vmnic0 0000:01:00.0 igbn Up Up 1000 Full 40:62:31:00:a6:c6 9000 Intel Corporation I211 Gigabit Network Connection

vmkchdev -l |grep vmnic:

0000:01:00.0 8086:1539 8086:0000 vmkernel vmnic0

esxcli network nic get -n vmnic0
[...]
Driver Info:
Bus Info: 0000:01:00:0
Driver: igbn
Firmware Version: 0.6-1
Version: 1.4.11.2

According to the HCL this is the right driver.

Does this ring a bell with anyone? Is there any way I can determine what caused the crash?

Thanks for your help!

Jasper
