3 diffrent servers - Host does not support pass through configuration

Hi all,

i was wondering how to turn on PT in ESXi4U1. I have tree diffrent servers:

1. DELL PE 2900 with standard ESXi non DELL ,

2. DELL T710 with standard ESXi non DELL,

3. and small one based on S5000VSA + hardware raid with standard ESXi non DELL.

As i read in other posts, the clue solving problem should be turiningon VT in bios, but still doesn't work for me.

, and what about the S5000? Someone has a similar setup? The board is essential if there are any older Xeons, 3XXX series

passthrough is supported with intel 55xx series procvs and 10Gb intel NIC cards refer to KB for the compete support

If you mean DirectPath, then it is not working on PE 2950 but only on the last generation (I haven't tried the 10th generation).

Thanks for feedback.

And here is correct. Freshly turned on after a reboot of the VT option in the bios. VMDirectPath is available in DELL T710 (on board are two processors X5570 FMS 06-1A-5).

Thank you for your explanation, it remains only to upgrade the processors in the PE2900 and exchange S5000VSA. Does anyone know E5504 is compatible with VMDirectPath?

PS. On the occasion of what is the difference between the standard iso ESXi on DELL or IBM iso install?
