Hello

Try to bring disk online, do diskpart and clean the partitions, recreate the partiotions and run the validation tests again.

If ur using RDM i strongly recommend you do perennial setting for RDM

esxcli storage core device setconfig -d naa.id --perennially-reserved=true

Hi,

Can you post the validation error, without going through the error can't suggest you the solution.

here is the validation errorCapture.JPG

I tried using both physical compatibility mode and virtual compatibility mode and same issues.

actually virtual compatibility mode had less errors validating than physical.

tried using both LSI SAS controller and PVSCSI and same issue

It depends. The supported for MSCS between different ESXi hosts is the physical emulation. For same ESXi you can use also virtual.

See VMware KB1004617 for details.

I checked the difference between virtual compatibility mode rdm and physical.

with virtual mode rdm, if I resize the lun on the san side, a rescan of the hbas and rescan of disks within the guest os will not show the new lun size. I think you need to remove the lun and readd to the vm which causes downtime.

with physical mode rdm, resizing the lun on the san side, and rescanning the hbas will resize the rdm immediately on the guest os without removing and readding the rdm.
