2008 r2 vm auto shutdown by user?

running and esxi 5.0 on bl465c, the vm is 2008 r2 sp1. when power on these vm,after a while they auto shutdown. any one meet the problem?

Could you kindly elaborate the situation? After how much time? Do they get gracefully shut down or powered off? How many VMs are there? Do they all go down simultaneously? Any specific events do you notice related to these things?

no errors, just show " virtual machine on  172.16.x.x is powered off" .And i have upgraded esxi5  to 623860 build number.it is so strange!

no...all the vm happen like that. i logined as root. it seems that vm is powered off by user?

Is your host added to AD? If yes, please remove it from AD and then see if there are any other users added locally. Check whether now the problem occurs or not. This way we can check whether its by a user or because of something else. Also, try changing the root password as well if you have had it shared with someone. Although, I suspect this could be because of some policies, but these tests will prove it.

just using local storage. nic work fine!

i think i maybe windows edtion problem. all windows 2008 r2 are ok,but windows 2008 r2 sp1 will auto power off.....
