I did a hot add of cpu and memory to a 2008R2 vm. It added without errors in vsphere but not showing in the vm.
any idea?
That is strange.
Perhaps go in to device manager and scan for hardware changes. While you are there look in the Processors section to see if the additional vCPUs show up.
in device manager, I see the 4 vcpus. but the memory module says the device cannot start. but task manager still does not show the added cpu and mem
