I'm having a confusing issues with the 1000v where the VSM never seems to recognize the VEM - curious if anyone else has seen this or a similar issue or has any suggestions for where to begin troubleshooting. these same versions and processes work on other hosts, thus the confusion.
The versions are:
nexus-1000v.4.2.1.SV1.4.ova
cisco-vem-v130-4.2.1.1.4.0.0-2.0.1.zip
VMware ESXi 4.1.0 – 260247
1) From the vMA –
[vi-admin@vma ~]$ vihostupdate -i -b ./cisco-vem-v130-4.2.1.1.4.0.0-2.0.1.zip --server <IP>
Enter username: root
Enter password:
Please wait patch installation is in progress ...
Host updated successfully.
2) Add hosts to 1000v DVS in vCenter with valid uplink port profile
3) From the VSM –
1000V# sh module
