100's of "mpx.vmhba32:C0:T0:L0" USB Warning messages per hour

We get hundreds of these messages per hour to syslog - vmhba32:C0:T0:L0 maps to the USB on our Dell 6x0's,7x0's and 9x0's running 5.0 -> 5.1 U1

WARNING: NMP: nmp_DeviceRequestFastDeviceProbe:237:NMP device "mpx.vmhba32:C0:T0:L0" state in doubt; requested fast path state update...

Anyone know how to quiet them at the source?

They are filling our splunk and vcheck reports and making it harder to see the important messages

thanks!

Error is with your CD/DVD device.  Make sure it is in a detached state (for example, if you are using Dell hosts, you would log on via the DRAC and set the state to DETACH).  This will hopefully stop the errors.

Thanks!

I don't like using the mouse - esp on dozens of hosts

Is there a powercli script to do this for all hosts?

This is the virtual state of the physical optical drive on your Dell hosts, so I'd suggest using your favorite search engine to look for something like "Manage Dell DRAC via PowerShell"

In the meantime, to verify I am barking up the right tree, try logging on to the DRAC for just one of your hosts, click on the Console/Media tab, and under Virtual Media see if the Status attribute has the value Attach or Auto Attach.  If so, click Configuration and set it to Detach, click Apply and log out.

I have also seen this problem on Dell R720 hosts, but I do not have a physical optical drive or an option to detach virtual media. Any suggestions?
