Ошибка - Error 'Virtual SMP' not licensed

Добрый день всем!

Подскажите, пожалуйста, чтобы запустить ВМ с 1 сокетом, но на 16 ядер нужно приобретать Essential Kit ?

Сейчас система выдает ошибку при запуске ВМ Feature 'Virtual SMP' not licensed, requires 16 have 8

В разных обсуждениях, включая данный портал, пишут о том что базовая лицензия vmSphere которая получается после регистрации не накладывает никаких ограничений.

Поясните, пожалуйста, логику, докупать лицензии?

Hello all

After registration on vm-site we have licence key - VMware vSphere Hypervisor 6 License

But when i tried start VM with one CPU and 16 cores per socket

Get  error -  Feature 'Virtual SMP' not licensed, requires 16 have 8

Question is wich type of licence we must have if we want start 2 VM with 1 cpu and more then 8 cores per socket?

Hi,

The free version of vSphere ESXi(called vSphere Hypervisor{free}) has a limit on VSMP(limited to 8). There is no limit on any paid edition of vSphere.

You're using the free version... This has a limit of 8 vCPUs/cores per VM,

Any license will do except for the free one...
