Definition of Storage uncommitted

My question is very simple, I need an easy definition of uncommitted storage.

I attach below an image of a VM with 50 GB disk and thin provisioning

Here is the calculation for Uncommitted Space:

Allocated Space - Used Space =  Uncommitted Space

In your case, I guess that you have memory reservation.

I have found it useful to check some machines, others have not.
But what I see is that uncommitted space may depend on numerous other factors.
