PocketAI powered ESXi on Arm on RPI4b reboots after 'initializing InitVMKernel: SMP_BootAPs'

Hi,

ESXi on Arm installer on RPi4b, powered by AdlinkTech' PocketAI, seems not supported, right?

A type usb4 gen3 cable (240W, 5A, max. 40Gbps) from the external pocket AI GPU is used to power the RPi4b. The RPi4b comes up and starts booting the ESXi installer. The last displayed installer boot step however is 'initializing InitVMKernel: SMP_BootAPs', and a reboot occurs.

The RPi4b firmware is v1.34.

Interesting.. The RPi4b power port is a USB2 and certainly does not know about all the fancy power modes that come with Thunderbolt.

It's difficult to know what is happening. Is it possible to boot ESXi with "logPort=com1" and record the RPI4b serial console output? I am quite pessimistic there will be anything interesting, but maybe...

Usb PD is funny isn't it? Unfortunately no, not. There is nothing interesting.

External gpu power for RPi4b seems not possible. > Didn't reflect upon the usb pd specs details at that time. @cyprienlaplace is right.
