I don't know for Kali, but r debian 10.10 release ISO is broken, and it's not specific to ESXi Arm.

"it looks like the new UEFI shim is causing troubles. Here's how to workaround it: open VM settings, force BIOS setup entry in the VM Boot Options, enter the EFI Shell, and start fs0:\efi\debian\grubaa64.efi directly.

Then in Linux, run "efibootmgr -c -l efi\\debian\\grubaa64.efi" as root to make the workaround permanent."

I am having an issue with this one on ESXi arm fling

https://cdimage.kali.org/kali-2021.2/kali-linux-2021.2-installer-arm64.iso

The installation completes successfully but when rebooting it gets stuck on the Kali Linux logo screen for ever.  Turn off and on the machine and the same.  Any idea of how can it be solved?
