old_Cache_000

I'm trying to exclude Microsoft Edge old_Cache_000 folder.

I have the below line, but it doesn't exclude this folder. Any ideas? Dem doesn't like underscore?

[ExcludeFolderTrees]

<LocalAppData>\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default\old_Cache_000

Hi @bjohn,

No, DEM should work just fine with those underscores. If you check the profile archive for your Edge config file, do you see that folder? Maybe it's captured by another config file as well, without that exclusion?

I just tried this with a config file containing the following settings (I copy/pasted the exclude path from your message):

I did not have any Edge profile data on my test setup, so I manually created the following file/folder structure:

After logging off, I checked the resulting profile archive, and it did not contain that old_Cache_000 folder.

@DEMdev

Below is my config. Yes, the old_Cache_000 folder gets captured. Tried with \ and without.

Also tried with MATCHALL

Hi @bjohn,

Can you try removing that trailing backslash?

I'll take a look at the code later to see if that's something we can change in the product.

@DEMdev

I already tried that, made no difference.

You are saying that it works for you, so it must be something on my side?

Although I'm not sure what it could be.
