We are working on trying to get a faster login for students.
Up until now we were trying to get this working with a mandatory profile but we found out that login with either a mandatory profile (tweaked with James Rankin's guide) and creating a new local profile takes almost the same amount of time give or take 1 or 2 seconds. The preparing windows process takes up to 45 to 50 seconds.
We already have UEM enabled for user Enviornment sttings but would it be possible to safe some personalisation settings to speed up the process and if so, what settings should we go for??
I believe that during the logon process it "installs" or at least checks which modern apps need to be installed. It also creates a start menu from the xml (or at least that's what I found out, dont know if it is indeed true).
What would be our best bet to try and speed up the login?? Anyone has any references or tips and tricks??
