Hoping to create a fantastic community for User Environment Manager users!
release for existing enterprise users middle of May 2015, i've read. Now only available as standalone product.
VMware UEM is available in Horizon Enterprise, at no additional cost for existing customers. It takes a few weeks for the SKUs to get ready so that's probably where you got the mid May timeline.
Many of my VMware customers are really excited about moving away from their existing profile solutions to our User Environment Manager. Between this solution and AppVolume, upgrading to Horizon Enterprise has been a "no-brainer"
Hi sachin,
I think it is available only for "Horizon Enterprise "Customers???
UEM is available standalone, as part of the Horizon Enterprise, or as part of the Horizon Application Management Bundle.

Is this product meant to replace Persona? We currently use roaming profiles through windows for our call center, would this be a good replacement for that?
Persona Management feature is still available. User Environment Manager does have more capabilities however, such as policy management and support for published apps. If you're using roaming profiles currently, yes, you should definitely take a look at our new UEM product to help you.
"more capabilities" suggests UEM can replace roaming and persona, but the last sentence from sachindsharma and the documentation suggests that VMware might be thinking UEM is an add-on to roaming/persona. Which features of roaming/persona are lost if we use UEM only? Example: does "make my text larger" work on nonpersistent linked-clone pools?
I too would like more clarification. We plan on using Non-Persistent Linked Clones for our call center and currently they are setup with regular windows roaming profiles.
Is there a way to easily convert from roaming profiles to UEM? Is there a way to "suck up" all their data and settings into a new UEM profile?
With Persona Management I like the feature that it does replicate the profile even during a session. I don't think UEM is capable of that. Right
btw I'm not able to post a new diescussion in this forum.
