Hi Vmkr,

Did you check the FlexEngine log for the user (if enabled)? Otherwise, I would recommend to enable logging in verbose mode and check the log file.

Actually user profile is working and updating all the changes till last week, but starting this week changes are not updating/persisting to user profile

It is happening (not persisting changes to userprofile) to few applications only

From log files I found one log saying "Previews import not marked as successful ------ skipping export" [I saw it when user log's off  from machine]

Thank you,

Vkmr.

Is this for specific applications only or random applications? Are you using DirectFlex for these applications?

It is for random applications and there are some windows settings (taskbar) which are not persisting even I am using Direct Flex and logon/logoff export and import respectively.

Note: It is happening for only few users

Previous import not marked as successful -- skipping export is almost always a symptom of the Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon policy not having been configured, so that would be the first thing to check, I'd say.

If your FlexEngine log level is set to DEBUG, the "config dump" at the start of a path-based export includes information about this policy setting, so that's an easy way to check.

I am seeing one log in debug logs which is saying "[error] Async UEM action or UEM refresh is in progress" other than this I am not seeing any errors in debug file

Now it looks user profiles are updating, my consent is why it is not updating user profiles randomly?

Thank you,

Vkmr.

The tricky thing with Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon not having been configured is that UEM does get to run at logon, but only at every other logon... So, I'd still suggest to double-check that that policy setting is configured correctly.

Hi UEMdev,

I am done with checking that policy, it is already applied to UEM policy's, is there anything that I am missing? why profiles are not applying randomly? any thoughts?

Thank you,

Vkmr.

Are you able to provide us the debug log after the issue appeared?

I agree with Ivan: can you provide a FlexEngine log file (at DEBUG level)?

That's not the correct logfile. I think you send the -async logfile. We need the regular logfile, because this does not contain the correct info.

The regular logfile should be in exactly the same folder. Feel free to zip all logfile in that folder for completeness.

Hi Pim, please find the attached file, let me know if this log file is not correct.

I am facing lot of problems (inconsistency) with user profile export and import.

Thank you,

Vkmr

I do see a lot of errors and warnings, but this still looks like an incomplete debug log file. Are you able to provide the full debug log?

Ivan,

These are only log files that I can see in user profile, Please let me know how to generate complete debug file and where will it create?

Thank you,

Vkmr.

I think the flexdebug policy ("Enabling debug logging for a single user in VMware User Environment Manager (2113514) | VMware KB ") is not configured, let me figure out it.

Let me know if you can analysis based on log file that I attached in previous reply

Thanks for helping,

Vkmr.

I want to read the full debug log to have some context. Also have a look at the following link. It also provides the steps for enabling debug logging.
