User Environment Manager 9.6 has been released

We're happy to announce that User Environment Manager 9.6 has been released. The main new features are the Configuration Changelog, and more granular configuration for folder redirection.

If enabled, the changelog adds a time-stamped entry each time a UEM admin changes a configuration file:

It's also possible to log this type of information to the Windows event log.

Folder redirection now allows overriding the default sub folder names, to make it easier to migrate from GPO-based folder redirection:

It's now also possible to choose a fully-qualified path for each individual redirectable folder, like we already supported for Roaming AppData.

Other changes and additions:

  • Support for Windows 10 Version 1809, and Windows Server 2019. The latter has also been added as an option to the Operating System condition.

  • The location of the user's profile archives is now exposed via the %UEMProfileArchives% environment variable.

  • Support for Symantec Workspace Virtualization has been deprecated (to be removed in a future version.)
