User Created Shortcuts - Instant Clone

This may be a daft question, but can DEM be configured to allow the saving of user created shortcuts, that stick when an instant clone is logged off and removed? Is this something that you only get with a writeable VHD and not DEM?

Where are you looking for, shortcuts get saved in a few places, the desktop, the taskbar, and the startmenu? Each can be saved, but there are different locations. The desktop can be folder redirection, and possibly a custom DEM config that only includes the shortcuts. The taskbar I believe there is a prebuilt config now that should handle that, and the start menu may need a custom config as well. For most people I think its the just the desktop, and I handle that with folder redirection.
