We have an App-V 5 package which starts an executable from a network share. It needs to be App-V 5, because the application also have local components installed. We want UEM to manage the application settings. So we configured UEM to use DirecFlex for this executable with 'App-V 5 support' enabled.
Unfortunately it is not working. When I enable Debug level logging I see the message "Not performing App-V 5 logic for executable". I performed a test by creating an App-V 5 package with the application files locally. In that case, the combination Directflex and App-V 5 work fine. But due to business requirements, this is not an option.
Am I right that DirectFlex App-V 5 logic is not working for executables on a network share? Is there a trick to get it work?
