UEM 9 capturing Hidden files

I have Teradata Wallet 15.10.10 Thinapped (using 5.22/ Win7 64bit) and having a bit of difficulty picking up the files that Wallet uses.

I don't have a ton of experience with Teradata Wallet, but it looks like it saves a hidden/encrypted file to %appdata%\Microsoft\credentials

Can UEM capture and save this data?

What I've done so far

  • I've "enabled" the Thinapp option within UEM
  • set the above referenced forlder to "merged" so the data is written to the c:\ drive and not the Thinapp sandbox.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi piratefan,

With UEM's ThinApp support there is no need to tweak the package's file system virtualization settings. What happens if you leave the package settings as is, and add <AppData>\Microsoft\Credentials to your Teradata Flex config file?

Please also note, with ThinApp support, you should also set the virtual executable in UEM, not the ThinApp executable itself.

If you configure <AppData>\Microsoft\Credentials in the flex config file, like UEMdev mentioned, it should be working fine.

thank you.

Yes, I have "tdwallet.exe" listed as the DirectFlex executable

I'm going start my testing scenarios over .  I'll report my findings.  I'm glad to hear that even if the file is hidden/encrypted UEM should still be able to capture the data.
