Hi,

I can persist all Snagit preferences except one setting that is "Run Snagit when windows starts" [even app profile is not working for this setting]

Please let me know how to persist this particular tricky setting

I am using Snagit version 12

Make sure that you're roaming the following setting in Windows:

[IncludeRegistryTrees]

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

See this template for Sticky Notes for more info, because Sticky Notes also allows you to select the option 'runa when Windows starts'.

I do include "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run" but in my case if user don't want to start/run Snagit with windows start there is one option in Snagit Preferences "Run Snagit when windows starts" he can un-check, but it is not persisting across the VDI sessions.

Is there a way to persist this setting?

I know this is old, but in case someone is looking for the answer to this...

Snagit 2018 stores the "Run Snagit when Windows starts" setting at:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\TechSmithSnagit

Note it is in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, making it more difficult to capture with UEM
