Running an application as a different user

Hi All,

I work in an environment where I logon to my linked clones using a standard account, and UEM sits there doing a great job remembering all my settings.

But, if I want to do something with elevated privileges I run, say SQL Management Studio, as a different user, and UEM isn't active for that user.

Is there any way I can configure/fool my system into saving settings for my "runas" user as well?

Cheers,

Martin

Hi mellicott,

Sorry, there's no supported way to do that, unfortunately.

UEM 9.2 offers 'Privilege Elevation' that allows you to run applications with local admin rights, even though you are a regular user. But you cannot specify a different user as you can with the 'run as' Windows option.

These are management applications that I don’t want regular users to be able to run with admin privileges so that won’t work.

UEM also provides 'Application Blocking' feature, so you can very easily prevent regular user from launching these Apps.
