Required IOPS per profile

Does anyone have an estimate about the required IOPS per Flex Profile user on the fileserver?

This for right sizing the fileserver.

Hi,

We don't have a number of IOPS, but it's very low because of how UEM is architectured.

UEM only manages part of the user profile that you specify. On top of that UEM uses compression, so a regular UEM profile is just a couple of megabytes in size. The total UEM profile size depends on the number of application, the number of backups you keep and the type of applications.

The UEM profile is segmented and managed on a per-application base. UEM only loads a segment if that particular application is started and writes the profile when the application is closed. Because of this real-time profile loading the load is spread across the day.

We have customers running thousands of users on a regular Windows file server. Some general recommendations: use SMB 2.0 or newer (Windows server 2008R2 or newer). Use a server with enough RAM and CPU and fast storage. Use clustering and replication for HA and DR purposes. Typically I calculate around 100MB diskspace per user for the UEM profile. The UEM Configuration share is also small, let's say 1GB for that.

Is that some info you can work with?
