Office Application Template Settings

Hello

When I configure an Office application using the built in templates, very little appears to be exported / imported.

Is there any documentation available that of lists the configuration settings included in these templates? or is it that there are no registry of file-system exports configured? as none are listed on the Import/Export page

That being the case, what is the point of these templates?

Does anyone have a list of the typical 'managed' locations for registry and file-system for each Office 2010 / 2013 application?

Regards

Sean

Hi Sean,

This can be found under manage in the UEM management console.

Hi Raymond

As your example shows, there are no settings there?

My question is... Are there a set of default import / export settings applied (which we cannot see) or is the application template blank? i.e. no settings are exported by default? My expectation was that by supplying an 'Application Template' it would just work out of the box.

From the attachement, I have just added a simple Filesystem export using the [IncludeFolderTrees] section to export my Templates & Normal.dot

If a template is being supplied, surely it should do something? It would be far more useful to have the template with all the possible export registry keys and folder locations commented out, which could then be uncommented to activate them?

Am I missing the point here?

Regards,

Sean
