Office 365 profile migration - DEM 9.11

Hi,

I'm doing some testing to see if it's possible to migrate Office 2013 to Office 365 (E3) using DEM 9.11.

Office apps are installed on the golden image directly using the ODT method.  Currently not syncing AD, moving towards this next with the shared activation etc.

Is it possible to completely migrate Office 2013 (especially outlook) to 365 to retain the mail profile etc.?  I'm trying to avoid having to re-create the mail profiles for each individual.

EDIT:  As of now for the mail profile, we'll still be using the same on prem version of exchange for the time being.

You can use the Application Migration feature --> Application Migration

An example for Office 2010 --> 2016 is available here --> Migration Office 2010 -> 2016 migration.xml

Maybe DEMdev, or someone else from the community has a "ready to use" version available?

Hi blong24,

As per Ivan's suggestion, application migration should do the trick. You'd need to start capturing your users' current Office 2013 settings with DEM, and can then convert those profile archives to their Office 2016 equivalents using the attached migration XML.
