New DEM - 'error handling attributes for file' when saving configuration

New DEM set up. NoAD configured.

It appears I cannot modify the configurations files once created.

I am an administrator on the machine. I can add files, delete files, the NTFS security shows  FullControl/Modify. When I try to edit the files directly via notepad, it wants me to save to a different location.

I have seen articles suggesting that when I set up DEM I should include 'General' in the path during initial install (the VMware tutorial just mentioned \\server\share, not \\server\share\general)

Hi @pbastiaans1,

If you can't save through Notepad either, the NTFS or share permissions are probably not quite correct. Are they configured as per with the requirements?

Thank you.

Yes. I followed those instructions for permissions. Agreed, if I can't do it via notepad, it's probably NTFS config. Here's my NTFS:

I launched DEM 'run as' administrator and am able to edit config files.
