Multiple UEM servers

Hi Gurus

I need some help and hope I can get it here, in our infrastructure we host 4 line of Business , I have created a UEM server and have set the redirection folder and all works great, but then I need 3 more UEM server for each LOB,  so I can redirect the folder  on each server.

1- Can this be accomplished?

2- if so, can I have a step on how to do this ?

Thanks a bunch gurus

You don't need multiple servers. You need to create a separate UEM configuration share for each LOB.

For each LOB, also create UEM GPO and OU in AD.

For each GPO configure the specific LOB UEM configuration share.

In the UEM admin console you can easily switch environments.

the UEM admin guide describes how to manage multiple environments.

https://www.vmware.com/support/pubs/uem-pubs.html

you only need multiple shares, you can host all those shares on 1 single fileserver. With different GPO's you can configure the clients to connect to the correct environment.

what happened if the only server goes down, I will think that all my LOB will go down, apart from if I have many servers for each LOB and only one goes down, all other LOB can still work with now problems, am I seeing this correctly? or am I all wrong about this approach?

Thanks gurus for jumping in, I appreciate your patience.

If you need high availability, of course you need to do something to make the file shares high available.

This guide has a separate topic on UEM and HA. Using DFS is the option they use in this guide.

Let me know if this helps.
