Hi,
I have already configured UEM with Windows 7 and I was wondering what are te benefits on changing to mandatory profiles.
Is there any advantages if you are already using UEM ?
Thank you
See: VMware User Environment Manager, Part 1: Easier, Faster Windows Logins with Mandatory Profiles - VMw...and Complementing Mandatory Profiles: VMware User Environment Manager - VMware Blogs
"A mandatory user profile is a special type of pre-configured roaming user profile that administrators can use to specify settings for users. With mandatory user profiles, a user can modify his or her desktop, but the changes are not saved when the user logs off. The next time the user logs on, the mandatory user profile created by the administrator is downloaded."
So with UEM you can obviously save these settings you normally can't with mandatory profiles.
For stateless (non-persistant) VDI's you can also choose to use local profiles. You have the option to make changes the default local profile in this case.
