Local right

HI gurus

is there a way to use DEM, to allow users full rights to install apps ?, I would like to walk away from given user local admin privileges

You can make use of DEM's privilege elevation feature.

Thanks a bunch for jumping in, is there another way to accomplish this, the logon user has local admin rights, I just dont want user to call every time they have to install crap on their machine.

Hi @fborges555,

DEM's privilege elevation feature can be used to allow non-admin users to install applications. If your users have local admin rights, there's no need to use that feature, as they will be able to do so anyway.

you might be meaning writeable volumes? they give the ability to have "user installed applications" on floating pools
