How can I trigger the User Environment Refresh?

Hello Everyone,

I have printers located in conference rooms that I need to control access to. The plan is that a user can go from their desk to a computer located in one of the conference rooms, and have the appropriate printer automatically added to their printer list. Then, when the user returns to their desk, the printer automatically disappears from their printers list. I have set UEM to push out certain printers based on Endpoint IP address. However, it appears that for the printers to show up properly, the user must manually run the User Environment Refresh icon from the desktop. Then, when the user moves back to their desk, they must run the UEM refresh again for the conference room printer to go away. I'm guessing its because the process of "Stealing" an active session from one Zero client to another doesn't register as a logon in Windows on the VM.

Is there a way that I can configure UEM to refresh the user environment when the session is picked up from another Zero client? Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Matthew,

You can use the triggered tasks for that. Use the "Reconnect Session" trigger and use the action "User Environment refresh".

That will do the job for you.

Let me know if it works as needed!
