Folder Redirection and Outlook Signature Issues

I have recently taken over a VDI environment that is having issues with Folder redirection and Outlook Signatures following the users. After discussing these issues with support, it was recommended that we change from GPO settings and use UEM. As such we are licensed and product is installed. So now what? looking at all of the tutorials and guides provided. None really go in-depth on the Outlook signature configurations. any and all assistance is greatly appreciated.

Have you looked at the documentation for UEM? (https://www.vmware.com/pdf/uem-860-admin-guide.pdf)

VMware UEM documentation points to the features built-in to the base AD GPOs.

pg16: "Folder redirection can be configured through standard Group Policies available in Active Directory. If you decide to also redirect profile folders which contain application and Windows configuration, you will need to use VMware User Environment Manager only for managing registry information from the user profiles."

Have you used the "Easy Start" feature?  Are you able to import a preset Flex config file from the Import/Export feature?

pg.42-43: Shows you how to pick an Office Outlook 2010/2013 Application Template.

That being said, UEM does allows you to change registry settings, which means you can have UEM update anything inside "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\", which can be updated to point to a UNC path on a file server somewhere.  Just make sure you have the permissions correctly set on the folders.

There are a couple of ways you can do it the only way that I am aware is this

1)Do a drive mapping (eg Home Drive ) Store the PSt files on that Home Drive. Using ForcePSt https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/883401

2)Once PST is saved in home Drive

3)Use Outlook Templates from UEM management Console

4)Enable outlook for DirectFlex

It should work as expected
