Is there a way to display a message when the user logins to Windows with UEM?
Hi Kevin,
Did you try our User Environment Manager Triggered Tasks ? You can find this feature under the tab "User Environment"
Raymond
I did but the only options for it are Lock workstation, Unlock workstation, Disconnect session and Reconnect session. None of those fit as being when the user initially logs in.
Argh, you are correct... totally my mistake sorry. (almost weekend 😉 )
The only way then to show a message with UEM is by "logon task" with your own script I guess.
I don't think that would work either since the manual says tasks run invisible to the user.
You can put a "msg" command at login - it will work.
I tested it - on logon tasks I created a task with a command of - msg %username% hello
and it worked
Hmm, I can't get it to work. What options do you have?
try to change the timing of the task by running the task asynchronously or before/after profile archive import.
I just did that and it didn't seem to help any.
can you make a screenshot of the logon task that you configured?
Here you go.
ref: The only options for it are Lock workstation, Unlock workstation, Disconnect session and Reconnect session.
One Vote for adding "Connect" as a Display Message option!
We would like to use this feature to notify users of Maintenance/Changes to a specific Pool, instead of using the Global notification in Horizon.
This would be a great feature enhancement!
John
Have you tried running the command 'after' profile archive import?
