hello
we have taken time to configure Config files for our main apps, chrome, Office programs, Taskbar settings start menu etc. I have a hunch that these will need re-creating to work with new paths and registry paths on win11?
Has anyone any experience of moving to Win11 from win10? Did you need to recreate the config files for the main apps above? I'm not sure if they will still work with win11?
king regards

Hi @peetey100,
For application settings you generally don't have to change anything.
For Windows-related settings it's probably a different story. Even if the config files might continue to do the trick, importing an "old" profile archive on a "new" OS often won't work.
Thanks very much for your reply, very helpful.
Would yo know if it possible to download drew Win11 compatible config files ? Mainly to capture windows settings such as taskbar and display settings etc?
thanks
I think the only issues I saw when I was testing windows 10 to 11 was taskbar and start menu settings. I don't remember what it was about the taskbar but for whatever reason Microsoft made the start menu an appx in windows 11 so the settings save under "<LocalAppData>\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.StartMenuExperienceHost_cw5n1h2txyewy".
We haven't done a lot of testing yet though.
great thanks for this, Did you run app profiler to create a new task bar config app? Or just edit the current one?
thanks so much
