Did you have a SSL-Inspection or other security Software/Hardware in your infrastructure? Does it work when you connect over a mobile hotspot over cell phone?
I have tried this in my lab as well so two totally separate environments, ISPs, etc and I get the same error with multiple accounts.
i can confirm that it not working anymore for me. it has worked a few weeks ago 🙂

Would be nice to see an official response from VMware! I used those templates a lot.
There is a workaround here :
This is a known issue, you need to download template.bin file and put it in the DEM environment folder on the same level as General folder.
