tyring to login to a customer interface. interface previously worked. no configuration changes. yet after authenticating my CAC with valid PIN I get an error message - authentication failed - tunnel reconnection is not permitted.

if you have GTM check persistent settings,check DNS.
There are two protocols session configured for establish the connection.Both should go to same pair.Check the persistent settings in load balancer
Validate using each UAG\security server\connection server to see any error

sounds like you're saying this is a server issue; not being the server tech I can't access the elements you mentioned
Did you try to uninstall and then install VMware Horizon Client?

the issue seems to be a tunnel is configured and evidently there was an unexpected interrupt of the tunnel rather than a clean exit, so the tunnel config is still somewhere in my system config. I need to figure out how to clean it out and try to connect again.
