Hi,

It is not very clear what you want to do ...

If I understand, you want to convert a physical machine with Windows 7 to virtual, using a NAS on the network like Storage ... is it correct ??

It is not clear in which virtual environment you wish to convert it.

https://www.iperiusbackup.net/vmware-vcenter-converter-convertire-macchine-fisica-virtuale/

https://docs.vmware.com/en/vCenter-Converter-Standalone/6.2/convsa_62_guide.pdf

The conversion must take place towards a virtual environment "vmware esxi," workstation player "," workstation Pro ", etc ... So the virtual environment must see the Nas as network storage.

vmware vcenter converter standalone insufficient permission to access the source ?

I do not understand

I simply want to convert the physical pc on which the converter is stated and create a VW machine out of it in a dirctory of the nas, to be able to start the machine in the nas directory with vm player on the physical machine.

Do you think the problem is the destination directory on the NAS

I thought source is the physical machine

Hi,

to virtualize a physical machine, two important components are needed:

1- source (your Windows 7 PC)

and the

2- destination (virtual environment, esxi vmware, etc ...)

So, like Storage, the virtual environment can also have a NAS connected.

what is your virtual environment? you want to create your virtual machine on?

you can attach some pictures of how you are configuring the vcenter converter to do the conversion, so we can help you better.

when you define the target - do not use a drive letter, only use unc-notation
